At Functionally Rooted, every product is handcrafted in small batches with care.
We take pride in creating clean, natural skincare that is fresh, functional, and delivered safely to your door.
Please review our shipping and return policies below before placing your order.

Shipping Information

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2 – 4 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Because our products are freshly handcrafted, small variations in color, texture, or scent may occur.

Shipping Rates

  • Flat-Rate Shipping (U.S.): $8.95

  • Free U.S. Shipping on orders over $85 (before tax and discounts).
    Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

We currently ship within the United States only. (International shipping may be added in the future once we can ensure safe transit for our products.)

Delivery Times

Once shipped, most U.S. orders arrive within 3 – 7 business days depending on carrier and destination.
You’ll receive an email with tracking information once your order is on its way.

Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.
We are not responsible for packages delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Order Status & Tracking

When your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.
If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you haven’t received your package, please:

  1. Check with household members or neighbors.

  2. Contact your local post office with your tracking number.

  3. If the package cannot be located, email us at hello@functionallyrootedskin.com within 7 days of delivery status so we can help investigate.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the handcrafted and hygienic nature of our skincare products, we do not accept returns or exchanges once a product has been opened or used.

However, we always want you to love your experience with Functionally Rooted.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@functionallyrootedskin.com with your order number and a photo of the issue.
We’ll gladly replace the item or issue a refund as appropriate.

Eligible Return Conditions

  • Products must be unused, unopened, and in original condition.

  • Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the error was ours.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected. Please allow 5 – 10 business days for funds to appear in your account.

Cancellations

Because orders are often prepared quickly, cancellation requests must be emailed to hello@functionallyrootedskin.com within 12 hours of placing the order.
Once processing begins, orders cannot be canceled.

Freshness & Product Variations

Our products are small-batch and made with natural ingredients—free from synthetic preservatives and fillers.
As a result, slight differences in color, texture, or scent may occur between batches; these variations are normal and do not affect product quality or effectiveness.

Liability & Shipping Delays

Functionally Rooted, LLC is not responsible for:

  • Delivery delays caused by carriers, weather, or postal service interruptions

  • Packages marked “Delivered” by the carrier but not received

  • Customs or import delays (for future international shipments)

We do, however, promise to help investigate and resolve issues wherever possible.
